This ship has been painstakingly recreated in high-quality plastic materials then hand painted with an incredible level of detail. The ship also comes with a full color collector magazine. It measures approximately 3-1/2 inches long by 5 inches wide by 2-1/2 inches tall while mounted on the included stand.
This is a special bonus issue, outside of the standard collection.
The sight of these ships coming into land was terrible news for many a culture fearing conquest by the Klingon Empire. This starship classification, the Klingon Bird-of-Prey starship, has officially landed in the Star Trek the Official Starships Collection.
The Star Trek Official Starship Collection delivers Commander Kruge’s Klingon Bird-of-Prey in the landed position resembling a large predatory bird. With appearances in five movies and 43 TV episodes, the original Klingon bird-of-prey must be the most recognizable non-Starfleet vessel in all of STAR TREK. The Starship has been painstakingly recreated in die-cast and high-quality ABS materials then hand painted with an incredible level of detail.
The 20-page magazine investigates the origination of this now familiar Klingon vessel. It also features a look at life and death on Genesis, though the bird-of-prey never lands on Genesis in STAR TREK III, Kruge and his men do beam down to the planet.
The collection features a full range of Federation and alien vessels including seven incarnations of the Enterprise; all the major Klingon vessels including the Bird-of-Prey; Dominion; Borg; and Romulan ships and is slated to include about 160 ships in total.
